The sculptural works presented in this gallery are an extension of the Primal-Primal painting series concept. This concept, presented in two dimensional form in the painting series, is applied to three dimensions using sculpture as a medium.

These works represent the interface that exists between painting and sculpture. Each of the six, free standing sculptures presented in the Primal-Primal exhibition may be separated into two groups of three. The first group (Byte, Cosmic Ray, and Five Dimensions) represents what painting would be like if it were viewed from a series of increasingly more complex dimensions, starting with the first dimension and then in two dimensions and then extended to three or more dimensions using sculpture as a form of expression. The second group of sculptures (Cell Phone, Spinning Christ, and 9mm Bandwidth) are similar in function to the first group in painting representation, however, a thematic component has been added, giving the works a more recognizable and relatable nature.
